LMFI Black Hawk (Huacaya)
LMFI Peruvian Black Hawk is an incredible black male out of My Peruvian Bellflower, the black daughter of 4Peruvian Matador (black) and CPeruvian Black Brenna. 4Peruvian Matador is the black sire of MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite so this male has the genetics of both Mesquite's line (Matador) and Donovan's line (Accoyo Augusto).
His sire is, MFI Peruvian Donovan, is a son of Accoyo PPPeruvian Augusto who sold in the 2000 Breeder's Choice Auction to Five Star Alpacas setting a world record price of $226,000. His grand dam is 5Peruvian Durazna 8553, a dark fawn female with an incredibly dense fleece and outstanding fleece character
LMFI Peruvian Black Hawk has a very advanced black fleece that is dense and still fine with excellent fleece character, unusual for a black male. He has excellent staple length, a gorgeous phenotype and excellent conformation, as you can see from his picture. His first two cria (both dark females) hit the gound Fall 2009 and are stunning.
FIBER STATS:
Skin biospy at 2 yr of age by Norm Evans showed super gland presence. His density is 54.5 follicles per sq mm with a S/P ratio of 13.7 to 1. Secondary fibers averaged 22.1 microns. He demonstrates small tight uniform fiber clusters. These are fantastic stats for a black and place him in the top 3-5% of males Dr. Evans has examined and in the to 2% of blacks examined!
