Hemingway's Hemiaccoyo Grand Slam
Hemingway’s Hemiaccoyo Grand Slam is the final culmination of Timberland Alpacas’ many years of ownership of Peruvian Hemingway. Slam is a grandson of multichampion Victor and champion Sara’s Sahara who is one of Hemingway’s best female offspring. He is also a direct son of Peruvian Hemingway. Hemingway undoubtedly remains the most renowned sire in the North American industry. Slam is the result of very careful line breeding of grandfather to granddaughter, which in itself is very special and takes a minimum of six years to accomplish. Slam may be the only direct Hemingway son to boast these credentials. His dam, Victor’s Hemiaccoyo Valia, is also a Champion. Grand Slam is Timberland Alpaca’s very last son from Hemingway, and is also one of the youngest Hemingway male offspring in the country. He is a fitting tribute to Timberland’s long and fruitful ownership of Hemingway, as Timberland owned the very first Hemingway son in the United States and is now privileged to own one of the very last.
Grand Slam is a young male that is just beginning his breeding career, and is expecting his first offspring in the spring of 2010. Like his sire, Grand Slam’s powerful attributes include fineness of fleece, consistency of micron (17 at first and second shearing’s), lack of guard hairs, strength of bone and conformation. Added to this package is the genetic contribution from dam Victor’s Valia of staple length, sheer physical size and presence. The result is a male that cannot help but draw your attention.
