Nestled in the mountains of north Georgia, Garland Farm Alpacas is incorporating the most recognized bloodlines into its breeding program, creating a new generation of alpacas that exhibit exceptional fiber and conformation. Our motto "breeding for perfection" guides our selection of herd sires and breeding females chosen to be part of our herd. We are dedicated to the establishment of a premier breeding program located in the Southeast.

William (Skipper) and Kathy Gholston have been involved in the animal industry for over 30 years. Skipper graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine and practiced veterinary medicine for twenty years in north Atlanta before "retiring" to teach high school biology and coach baseball. Kathy also graduated from Auburn University with an accounting degree and helped manage their veterinary practice and now their growing alpaca business.

Garland Farm is located in Dahlonega, Georgia one hour north of Atlanta. Situated on 130 acres of rolling pastures, woodlands and streams, Garland Farm provides an ideal mountain location for raising alpacas. The facilities were built in 2004 specifically for alpacas.

Garland Farm is always open to visitors. We would love for you to come by and meet some of our alpacas. While you are in the area, you may want to plan some time in the quaint, historic town of Dahlonega. Whether you are just beginning to look into alpacas or are looking to add that special alpaca to your herd we would love to meet you.
