3 Hawk Alpacas

The farm is a family run Alpaca experience. My husband and I handle all the day to day happenings. We are always here for deliveries, shots, nail trimming, shearing, and yes the barn cleaning everyday.

We have found over the last 19 years that this is the life style for us; with the relaxing environment, pronking Alpacas, and of course all the babies. We enjoy the ability to sit in the pasture and watch these serene animals at their everyday life.

Our farm is involved in every aspect of the Alpaca lifestyle. We breed to sell the young alpacas, harvest the fiber and use all of it every year. We only offer items made from USA raised alpacas and produced in the USA. Our yarn is always sent to a mini mill so that the yarn we offer is from our animals and I can give you pictures of the particular Alpaca that supplied the fiber for your yarn.

The breeding program is set up to strive for better genetics and better fiber with each passing year. We try to keep up on the latest husbandry and medical information available. We are participating in the EPD study being done through Yoccum McColl and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg Virginia. This study is helping us in choosing our breeding pairs according to the positive traits that are being passed through to the babies.

The Alpaca is an eco-friendly livestock and produces green products for the public. Our society is becoming more aware of the effects everything we make and do have on the environment. The alpacas are a great way to work with saving the environment while raising a great investment.

With our economy and stock market in shambles; Alpacas are still a very good investment that increases with each passing year. Congress has purchased some Alpacas for the fiber they produce and the luxuious items made from it.

We participate in National Alpaca Farm Day every year and are always open for farm visits by appointment. Our store is also open by appointment. We do this so we can give you all the attention to answer all your inquires and spend time exclusively one on one.
